In 1863, Kyoto.
When a kind-hearted boy Nio meets ToshizoHijikata and Soji Okita, his destiny is forever changed. He decided to take an action because of his secret anger toward the unjust society, as well as his genuine and earnest wish to “make the world comfortable enough for children to cry at will.”
Thus, determined and hopeful Nio joins Mibu-Roshigumi (later Shinsengumi), a.k.a. Miburo, the most dangerous group of swordsmen.
The members of Miburo are rough and fierce, but each man has their own motives and ideals; and at the same time, those who stand in Miburo’s way also have their own faiths and dreams.
Nio grows as he tries to figure out what “justice” means, even when sometimes his own powerlessness makes him devastated and brutal truths make him shiver.
This is a completely new Shinsengumi story, depicted from the view of an adolescent boy!
