The name "MAHO" means "magic." MAHO FILM was established in 2018 with the mission of "continuing to create wonderful, magical works that give everyone dreams."

MAHO FILM is established with the objective of treating workers as a second family, and employees has developed a culture of cooperation and mutual support. While the production environment is often perceived as highly individualistic, our senior employees are especially eager to support their colleagues, and helping one another is basically the standard. Many employees proactively participate in training to improve their skills, and a major strength of our company is that the employees positively suggest saying "I want to try this" to themselves.

Historically, the anime industry was synonymous with harsh working conditions, low wages, and overloaded schedules. Animators, in particular, are usually compensated on a piecework basis, which often leads them to freelance for several companies to sustain their livelihoods. At our company, we hire animators as full-time employees. We adhere to national wage standards for fixed salaries while incorporating a piecework system, creating an environment where individuals can “enjoy stable lives while doing what they love.”
